Phoenixville is coordinating with Schuylkill and East Pikeland Townships to complete the PA Route 23 Corridor Study. The study will identify problematic conditions and potential solutions along Route 23 from Crossover Boulevard in the west to Whitehorse Road in the east.

Improved traffic operations, connectivity, and safety for all users along the Route 23 corridor will encourage positive growth and vitality in the region.

Route 23 carriers nearly 25,000 vehicles per day and saw over 250 reportable crashes in the five year period between 2013 and 2017. Major issues in this corridor include safety of all users and traffic operations. Along with the volume of traffic, a contributing factor to these issues is the unique intersection geometries at nearly every intersection along the corridor. Route 23 is the dividing line in Phoenixville Borough where two offset street grids meet. This results in side streets intersecting Nutt Road at odd angles and multiple five-way (or more) intersections.

Your participation in this survey will help the project team focus efforts on the community's priorities.
